Dear Jennifer,

I can't believe I stumbled across your blog! I read your book in January. They had it here in the Grand Prairie, TX public library. Ah! I have to tell you. It would be understatement to say that your book has given me inspiration. No, your book gave me DREAMS! I can't stop thinking about turning this weedy yard of grass and scrub saplings into a paradise of edible plants. Ever since I read your book, it has become a passion. My poor husband has to listen to me talk about it all the time... I have finally fenced in and selected the spot for my potager. I'm still a long way off, but I have that seed of a dream, and it is determined to see the sun. Thank you for that seed!

My chickens will be very pleased when they finally get to roam this fabled potager.

Genna,

Thank you. I know your garden will be great... that's half the fun dreaming about the fabulous garden. I am in the last few days of finishing my second book which will come out in the Spring of 2010. It's called Seasonal Harvest and will have even more inspiration for you... with recipes.... I'll be eager to see your Texas garden and hear of Texas edible gardening... send some photos on.
Jennifer
